Disneyland~~~

Disneyland, which place looks like a world of fairy-tale. It has many different cartoon characters in there. When I was young, I even had a plan to join Disneyland in future, but that was difficult for Chinese to travel foreign countries at that time. It was not only for the expensive price, but also for the difficult visa. If there were a Disneyland in China, I will go there easily. Last summer, I went back Shanghai and visited Hong Kong Disneyland. I brought my happiness mind to join it, but the weather let me uncomfortable. When I joined Disneyland, I went back a child at once. I took the photo with Mickey and Minnie and watched cartoon show. Because Hong Kong Disneyland is a new entertainment in Hong Kong, there are too many people to visit it when it opened. If I wanted to play one game, I would have to stand in line at the least of two hours; therefore, I only bought some small gifts and looked around it. Although many people said that Hong Kong Disneyland is smaller than other Disneyland, I still played to close. What was a wonderful day! I still have a plan to join other Disneyland in future; like, I want to go Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Park in California.

CN tower

Last week, I joined the CN tower. When I arrived the ground of CN tower, I felt very nervous and happiness, because CN tower is the highest tower in the world. I have joined Oriental Pearl tower in Shanghai. That one is the highest tower in Asia and the third highest tower in the world. There are many different between CN tower and Oriental Pearl tower. First is design, since Oriental Pearl tower’s design looks like many pearls, it was named Oriental Pearl tower; however, CN tower’s design looks like a long pillar. I most like two things of CN tower. The elevators of CN tower are very special because they can see all view when you from the ground to the top of tower. Another thing is its glasses. CN tower is famous as its glasses on the top. When you stand on the glasses, you can look down all around view, but I was afraid of stand on the glasses. CN tower and Oriental Pearl tower is one pare similar. Both of them have a revolving restaurant, but I did not try any one of them.

SUSHI

Sushi what is one of my favorite foods. I do not know when I began to like it. May be when I came to Canada. I want to say that I am a fastidious about food but most of reason is not myself reason. When I was nine years old, I had a critical fever. After that, I began to allergy with some foods, so I did not eat beef, lamb, and seafood. When I had arrived Canada, I found less Chinese food which I can eat and not to allergy in here. I decided to try to eat sushi because they have rice and a little bit seafood in it. First time, I took out the seafood from sushi and eat; then I tried to eat which sushi had a little bit seafood. What is a delicious food! Now, I eat sushi every week but I only choose which just have a little bit seafood in it. I like tempura, California rolls, spider rolls, and dynamlte rolls. (dynamlte is one kind of rolls. It includes shrimp tempura cucumber, fish roe, and mayo) I still do not try the sashimi. I think that it will let me allergy again.

CASINO

Casino, what is very blurred idea in my mind. It is legal entertaining place in Canada. If you are more than 19 years old, you can join it. That is difference with China. In China, there are not legal casino in any place except Macao, so it lead to many people use illegal way to open some small casino in hiding-place. When I first joined casino, I found that it was different idea in my mind. Everyone joined himself. Sometimes I would hear scream. It meant that someone won a lot of many. Sometimes I would meet some people whose face looked like very nervous. It meant that they could lose much money but casino still kept very happy music in it. The report said that many people indulged themselves with casino, so that evoked some argument. In my opinion, casino which place can help you to relax yourselves. If you indulged in casino, you would lose yourselves. That depended on your self-control.

Cooking~~

Before I came to Canada, I had never left my parents. Wherever my parents went, I always followed them. In their mind, I still a young child and never growth up until that time I need go to study and living in Canada. My parents began to worry about my life because I did less of things at home. At first time, I stayed in homestay which homestay was found from my school. The homestay included dinner, but I stayed in basement. When my mum heard that, she thought that basement was not good for me. So I decided to move out after one month. Cooking became one troubled things for me because I did not how to cooking. I tried to think about how is my mum cooking and looked for internet which dish is easily for cooking. There are time difference between Canada and China. When I did first cooking, I called back to my mum and asked her how to do those dishes. That time was noon in Canada, but it was midnight in China. My mum told me how to do those dishes and I wrote down their steps. Then, I followed steps to cook dinner. Um, I only can say that taste was not good, but I did not give up. After that, I continued to study cooking although the taste still bad. I bought some cooking book in order to study how to cooking better. Now, I can cook a lot of Chinese dishes by myself and the taste become better and better. Some times, I will try to cook some new dishes because it also an improvement for me.

Hamlet~~2

Claudius wanted to ask for forgiveness, but he's not prepared to give up his crown and his queen- the very things he has gained to commit the murder. It's possible that Hamlet wanted his mother to confirm her knowledge of Claudius's crime, or her possible participation in it. Hamlet urged his mother to repent choosing Claudius for a husband. Gertrude, liked Ophelia, allowed herself to be dominated by powerful men; she allowed them to tell her how she should think and fed. Gertrude immediately betrayed Hamlet and told Claudius about Hamlet killing Polonius. Rather than considering Gertrude's safety Claudius was in fear of his own life. Claudius planed to send Hamlet off to England not a punishment, but only to protect himself from Hamlet's wrath. Hamlet learnt that Fortinbras was sending his army to fight over a little piece of land in Poland. Hamlet was beloved in Denmark. Laertes said he would even slit. Claudius was disposed to encourage Laertes to kill Hamlet, Claudius wanted to protect himself and ensure Laertes revenge without creating the appearance of Foul play. Hamlet was fascinated by the equalizing effect of death and decomposition: great men and beggars both end as dust. Hamlet told Horatio that he has no sympathy for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, who had betrayed him. Hamlet ceased to think of only himself, and was now able to think sympathetically about others. Hamlet managed to get his revenge, but at the cost of losing his own life and his mom's, too.

U-Life: Professor's Corner

I saw an article, it named “Professor's Corner” talked about the present situation in York University's transit system is not positive. It mentions that owing to York is the centre of in-between city transit it makes York became a hub of busy transit system. Roger Keil, whom is the contributor of this article, analyzed these three main challenges in York, which are kinds of connections and faces respective: York connects metropolis, because of most students in York actually live near the campus the metropolitan transit role has been ignore and cannot function well; York anchors, as a result of the York transit system combined lots of urban uses, York should make a systematic leading role that relate to its communities; York also produces its own internal traffic, but it currently in a terrible situation: whatever students and professors want to buy or wherever they are stand there always be a line waiting for them. According to the author's words, it is necessary for York to make an effective solution that both in a logical way and better connections between everything that influence transit system in York.
From my experience, to be a student of York University in some ways is really hard. The same situation happened to me as in the article: every time I went buy something or waiting for my bus, I have to stand in line. I think that must not only because York University has large amount of people and also because York University did not pay much attention about these problems. From my perspective I hope York University could set up a useful leading role that consider our feelings and also not endanger York University's benefits.

Hamlet~~1

Claudius was a new king of Denmark. Hamlet's uncle married to his mom. There was a contrast between happy hence of Polonius and fractured dysfunctional family of Hamlet. Other contrast was between fatherly love Laertes enjoys and Hamlet's state of loss and estrangement. Ophelia is controlled by the men in her household, they tell her what to do. Hamlet continues “act” crazy to Polonius but his indirect insults show us that he's not crazy. There was contrast now developing between Hamlet and Fortinbras. Hamlet was indecisive while Fortinbras was dedicated to revenge. The king of Norway might be tricking Claudius, Claudius was not a wise miler. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern: Hamlet's friends who were asked by Claudius and Gertrude to discover the cause of Hamlet's depression. Hamlet claims that he will “pretend” to be crazy, but his behavior towards Ophelia was emotionally intense. Hamlet and Claudius both used traps to catch one another's secrets; Claudius spies on Hamlet, and Hamlet writes a play to “catch the conscience of the king”. Claudius reacted to the play itself which maked clear through its dialogue that the player king was murdered by his nephew.

Unhappiness~~~

I do not know what I can write about this week's u-life, so I just want to talk something about my recently life. I am not happy for passed two weeks, because my eyes are not feeling well. My eyes always look very red. First time, I did not know what happened with my eyes. I want to find some eye drops what I can use, but I lost when I saw many specialized words in bottle. I had no idea what I should do next because I did not see any doctor before. I asked my friend and found one Chinese eye's doctor. I must have an appointment with doctor. It is different with China. If we have some uncomfortable feeling, we can see doctor at once. After two days, I met with my eye doctor, but my eyes looked better than before. My doctor told me, I need to check all things about my eyes and paid it by myself because I am an international student. I told her, I thought that was inflammation of my eyes. She said, my eyes are very dry and I need to use more eye drops and changed contact lens to glasses. After one week, I went to see doctor again. She said, my eyes looked better, but still dry. I asked her, can I bring my contact lens again. She said O.K. At one day late, I brought my contract lens again; however, my eyes red again and I am not feeling well with my eyes, so I have to have appointment with other doctor again. Oh~~ I am not happy now. I hope my eyes will better at once because I worry about my eyes any time and have not good mood to do other things.

Death of a Salesman~~ 3

Willy can not find some ways to solve his problem. He had not any hope for himself and his sons. At last, he chose to finish his life. He drove the car and crashed wall. No friends and old customers joined Willy’s funeral, only his family. I learn something from the Death of a Salesman that is the society life of old America is the loser has no power to continue living. We can not just in our own dream life. We need to know about what happened in now society and find one role in it. May be that will help us to become more successful.

U-Life: the Lecture

Today, I joined lecture with my friend. My friend is a student in York. Her major is accounting. Because I want to study accounting when I join the university, I joined my friend's class. The lecture's name is Business in the Canadian Context. Every course has its own code. This lecture's code is ADMS 1010. We were in TEL 0010 (Technology Enhanced Learning). This was first time, I joined university's course. Many things are different with high school. First is different way to teach from instructor. Second is different manner from students. Third is difficult content. I felt a little bit nervous ambience in university's class. I found that native speakers could understand what instructor said immediately. They also answered question more than international students. On the other hand, I heard some special word in lecture, so learning more vocabularies are important for us.

Death of a Salesman~~ 2

Reality life let Willy to feel unhappy. He was failed by a young person. He had to borrow money to make a living from his former compete colleague. He wanted to get some help, but both his old friends and former customers didn't remember him. After those things happened, Willy began to get schizophrenia of depersonalization and flashback. He didn't get some solicitude from his sons. He continued flashback his pass life that he met another woman who was his mistress in his Boston trip. Biff found that thing and lost confidence with his father. He also recollected his brother Ben who has got a lot of money. After his flashback, he went back to real life. He still wanted to find a way to solve this predicament.

U-Life: Conversation Partner Sessions

I met my conversation partner this Thursday. First, I felt so nervous about that meeting. I was afraid of my conversation partner would use some difficult words to communicate with me. My group was three students to meet conversation partner at the same time. Two students form China; another comes from Istanbul. My conversation partner is a CBC, but she doesn’t speak Chinese. We introduced ourselves first. Our topic began in very active atmosphere. We talked about life in Canada; movie; travel. We all had different opinion about life in Canada. Only one thing we were all agree that is Canada is not polluted very serious. In my opinion, the tempo of life is very slowly in Canada. I don’t like movie any more, so I didn’t talk a lot of them. I like travel, because I like beautiful view in different place. I want to have a big travel in future to know about more cultural in different countries. Although the conversation was 20 minutes, I learned that intonation is important between people’s communication. Different intonation will express different mean. I was very happy to talk with native speaker, so I decided to communicate with conversation partner every week. Although I talked conversation partner use some easy words, I think my English will improve if I continue to talk with her.

Death of Salesman

First, I want to introduce the main characters in my estensive reading.
Willy: The salesman who was never exceptional at business.
Linda: Willy's wife who loves him dispite all of his difficulties.
Biff: Willy's eldest son for whom he had dreams of greatness.
Happy: Willy's younger son, feels inadequate.

Act One:
Willy was an old salesman. He felt so tired for his work. He thought nothing he can do in his business. Only his wife can understand and mericulous care him. She tried to do best to protect her husband's dinity and hoped to give some confidence for he husband in future life. They had two sons, Biff and Happy. They were their parents' proud, but they lost hope for their parents. In heavy pressure, Willy's consciousness became to unsteady.

First University Life

This is first time I do "University Life". I don' t have any ideas about it. Yesterday afternoon, I saw many people enjoyed room152. I was not sure what happened in it. It looked like a party because I saw people sit with round tables and some food were prepared in square table.
"Cultural Gala", I saw a big title in poster in front of the class. I felt some timid, so I just stood at outside and listened someone lecture in the podium. I learned some cultural about Italian. Most of information were about bollywood dancing. I thought that bollywood dancing is one kind of dancing in the bollywood films, but I checked it in internet and my idea is not completely correct. Bollywood dancing is kind of another name of Indian dancing. After introduction, many people wanted to try bollywood dancing and enjoyed their food. I don't like Indian food any more because I don't like its smell.
From yesterday's gala, I find University life is very interesting. I can learn more different things and don't timid to join them. I will do well prepare for the next University Life.
